We want everyone to have access to fun and safe personal training. This is why Passage Physical Therapy and Wellness offers skilled personal training with a Doctor of Physical Therapy in the comfort of your home. By working with a Doctor of Physical Therapy for your exercise and movement needs, you will maximize your safety and potential to restore or improve your function.
Doctors of Physical Therapy are movement specialists who skillfully analyze your physical function and give you the most effective exercises for your goals, while also considering other personal factors, such as your preferences, co-morbidities, and injuries. We aim to decrease your risk of chronic disease and injury by improving your movement quality, increasing your stamina, and helping to normalize your insulin sensitivity and body composition through prescribed exercises, dietary and lifestyle changes.
Who Is it For?
Our skilled personal training is for people who want to:
- Train in the comfort of their own homes
- Train with a movement specialist who takes into consideration medical conditions and injuries
- Learn more about their personal indicators of health, wellness, and movement
- Move with better quality and enhance their overall physical endurance
Why Train with a Doctor of Physical Therapy?
Physical therapists are recognized as the choice medical professionals for restoring movement to improve health. They are well-educated in the areas of human anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics, and have the ability to detect and correct faulty movement patterns that may be causing pain or dysfunction. Contrary to traditional personal training, we have the ability to address injuries and specific tissue impairments while we train.
Although Doctors of Physical Therapy specialize in the musculoskeletal and nervous systems, they are also educated on the interactions between other major body systems (cardiopulmonary, digestive, endocrine, lymphatic, etc.) and how they all contribute to your function and wellness. Physical therapists screen for red flags that might point to inflammatory or neurological conditions, structural disorders, circulatory problems, infections, tumors, or systemic disease. With thorough evaluation and referral to your primary doctor or specialist, any permanent life-changing pathology may be prevented.
